Roaster's Comments: This blend is a collaboration with DaVinci Boas, one of the world's leading breeders of captive bred boa constrictors. The inspiration behind this offering was to create an all-around enjoyable cup from coffees that originate from the same countries where boa constrictors can be found in the wild. The result was a medium roast, full bodied cup of coffee that highlights both origins while combining to create something unique of its own. $1 of every bag of DaVinci Boa blend will be donated to the United States Association of Reptile Keepers (USARK) to continue to promote captive breeding and education initiatives.
My boyfriend and I are coffee snobs, so we've progressed to doing pourover coffee and grinding beans with a burr grinder.
We've tried everything from Papa Nichols to Two Brothers, Lavazza, Starbucks, Gevalia, Intelligenista, Sputnik, Mad Goat, etc. and this has been our all time favorite. Ever. Ever ever ever.
I get two bags a month and when it inevitable runs out and we get some filler "high end" coffee beans to hold us through, it's always a bummer. I've started getting Delivery alerts because we look forward to our subscription delivery so much.
The balanced chocolately finish combined with our favorite hazelnut creamer is SO perfect. The citrus is so subtle and flawless in how it balances the other flavors.
These beans are freshhhh. Fresher than anything you'll find on a store shelf.
Never have I been so enamoured with a coffee. I generally prefer a Columbian, but even my bf who prefers Ethiopian and Guju beans is a diehard fan of this blend.
If you want a top tier coffee experience, this is for you.
I know I should probably try some of the other product offered by CBC, but the DaVinci blend is so perfect that I am unwilling to have anything take its place.
11/10, if this product is ever discontinued I'm going to lie down in traffic.
